Many of 20′s Plenty’s claims for the benefits of 20mph areas and zones are ill-informed nonsense, as will be set out here line by line as time permits.
I am increasingly concerned to find, here as elsewhere, that policies being driven by people who make fundamental errors even in basic physics and arithmetic, let alone on alone in complex issues.
As other observers have commented in recent times, fads such as this – ideas driven initially by small numbers of believers, then taken up by hordes of others, have much in common with relignions and undoubtedly provide for many of the followers the same inner comfort of belief and doing good that now failing religions and other belief systems used to provide.
How strange that this should be happeneing at a time when more people have more access to more information more quickly than would have been believed possible even a few years ago.
